UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a per diem (0% FTE, variable hours per week), day shift REGISTERED NURSE to join our Endoscopy Unit. We are a high-volume procedural unit – we have 2 rooms and see close to 24 patients each day. We provide procedural support for therapeutic, diagnostic, and screening GI services and bronchoscopies. The Registered Nurse will play a key role on a team that values exceptional patient care and collaboration.

SCHEDULE 10 hours per shift, variable hours per week. This position will primarily work day shifts, Monday - Friday, with on call responsibilities for off hours cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES The RN will:

  • Assist providers during endoscopic procedures

  • Provide patient care before, during, and after conscious sedation

  • Educate patients

  • Administer medication

  • Use and maintain endoscopic equipment

  • Help manage emergencies and complications

  • Promote efficient patient flow by assisting with patient admission, phone triage, and record keeping MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • BLS

  • An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington
