Job Details Job Location [0250] 1660 S COLUMBIAN WY SEATTLE WA 98108 (h) - SEATTLE, WA Position Type Full Time   Responsibilities A-Team Solutions LLC is seeking an RN for ED for a full-time 13 -26-week contract with possible extension at the VA in Seattle, WA. 1 Day or Night Shift needed. This is an immediate need and local or travel nurses are acceptable, COVID and travel pay included. Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent practices as a RN in the Emergency Department (ED) providing care to Veterans with acute and urgent medical problems and referrals to primary care for Veterans requesting long-term care. Psychiatric walk-ins are triaged and referred to psychiatric specialty as Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES). Humanitarian care is provided to minors and dependents until stable enough to transfer to appropriate site for continued care. Patients requiring major trauma care are referred to the nearest trauma center. Most frequent presenting problems are chronic illnesses with acute exacerbations such Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), hypertension, diabetes, and diseases related to substance abuse, especially alcohol. Acute problems are mainly of cardiac, musculoskeletal and urologic origin. The average age group ranges from 20 to 70+ years, primarily males with average age of 58 years. The RN is accountable for defined groups of patients on his/her shift. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, FSA Requirements Requirements: Shall be licensed in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. The Contract Nurse (s) assigned by the Contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall be graduates of a school of nursing accredited by the National League of Nursing (NLN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). All licenses held by the personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses. Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). At least two years recent (within the past 12 months) acute and chronic medical care practice in the Emergency Department.
