Liberty Mutual Group Inc. Regional Director – Distribution Strategy in Seattle, Washington

Duties: Drive key distribution strategy, growth and execution across the Asia region as well as the evolution of multi-channel distribution capabilities; collaborate with aligned markets to articulate and drive channel strategy, including optimization across channels: agents, brokers, OEM/dealers, banks, digital partners, carrier partners, and D2C; drive regional discipline on efficient growth, ensuring close management of acquisition cost; socialize intermediary segmentation and branch optimization discipline across markets; consult markets in development and implementation of value added intermediary capabilities; improve regional capability to leverage distribution data, develop analytical capabilities; engage markets to drive distribution efficiency and process improvement through peer reviews; identify and coordinate relevant areas of LM global expertise to deploy in support of East priorities; lead regional efforts in both continuous improvement efforts for existing traditional channels, and also expansion of alternative channels/partnerships to diversify and sustain GRM East growth; take ownership of regular deep dive reviews with the regional leadership team, focused on key distribution topics within aligned East markets; translate regional distribution strategy and priorities into concrete action plans to be executed, tracked in partnership with aligned market distribution teams; support financial planning and prioritization processes for market and region distribution teams; effectively advocate intermediary needs and internal distribution team needs as it relates to GRM core system investments and implementations; ensure consistent attention to integrity of business practices and compliance with all relevant internal policies and external laws and regulations. International Travel required up to 50%. Telecommuting permitted up to 60%. Requirements: The position requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, or a related field plus 5 (five) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Position also requires demonstrable experience with each of the following: Distribution management focused on insurance, finance or a related field; Channel strategy; Working in intermediary channels; Working in a matrix environment and leading by influence across various levels of stakeholders within a multicultural environment; Collaborating across multiple geographies and business groups; Achieving business results by setting and implementing strategy, and effective project management capability; PandC product knowledge; Understanding of insurance industry competitive dynamics and trends - locally, regionally and globally; Advanced quantitative analytical skills; Familiarity with and ability to leverage advanced functions of core business applications including Excel, PowerBI; and Aptitude to quickly learn and use additional business applications as needed. International Travel required up to 50%. Telecommuting permitted up to 60%.
