University of Washington Medical Center – Montlake – Radiology has an outstanding opportunity for a RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST - NUCLEAR MEDICINE .

WORK SCHEDULE - PER DIEM - Day Shift; 8 hour shifts within clinic hours 6:30am-7pm - 40 hours/week for first 2 months for training, then 2-3 days per week on average (1 to 5 days per week minimum/maximum); weekend call 7am-3:30pm

All of UW Medicine’s radiologists are board-certified and specialize in a variety of areas such as neuroradiology, body radiology, interventional radiology, musculoskeletal radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, mammography and chest radiology. Imaging findings are integrated with all clinical data to generate comprehensive and actionable patient assessments.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to the department supervisor and receives general direction from the supervisor and assigned Nuclear Medicine Lead.

  • Perform complex clinical diagnostic examinations such as lymphoscintography, treadmill cardiac perfusion, and pharmacologic stress cardiac perfusion, and provide expertise to support nuclear medicine clinical services.

  • Tailors examinations to individual patient in collaboration with physician.

  • Under general direction, exercise advanced technical knowledge in a specific area of expertise such as clinical computer application or examination protocol development in the field of nuclear medicine, and provide work direction to others in area of expertise. REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine OR equivalent education/experience.

  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine in the State of Washington.
