Amazon Quality Engineer, II, Amazon Manufacturing Services in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon Manufacturing Services (AMS) specializes in the production of high-quality 3D-printed components and machined parts. We serve Design Engineers, Product Developers, Operations Engineers, and retail product concept testing. The Quality Engineer II will support AMS with developing and executing quality inspection protocols and requirements through the use and programming of metrology equipment as well as leading a team of part inspectors.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop inspection plans and metrology programs for precision machined and 3D printed parts.

  • Disposition nonconforming product, conduct root cause analysis, and manage CAPAs.

  • Train and manage Inspectors, and own their Professional Development.

  • Conduct cross functional training, and internal audits as required.

  • Perform capability/gage R&R studies and other data analysis.

  • Assist in managing Quality Management System for AS9100 and ISO 13485.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, regularly assess Quality Operations, and fix deficiencies.

  • Monitor AMS’s KPIs and Quality Objectives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment working in a Quality role.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in GD&T application and drawing reading.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with inspection equipment.

  • Experience programming and operating metrology equipment such optical comparators and CMMs.

  • Experience performing internal audits to AS9100 and ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
