Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and prioritize opportunities across health plans related to pharmacy quality measures (STARS/HEDIS and Medicaid)

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

  • Communicate and interact with provider groups, pharmacies, and/or members

  • Present on quality measures to internal and external stakeholders

  • Provide clinical pharmacy support for key programs related to pharmacy quality measures (STARS/HEDIS and Medicaid)

  • Assist with preparing internal and external educational materials

  • Actively participate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve member health outcomes related to pharmacy quality measures

  • Other duties as assigned to meet departmental objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed pharmacist in the state of CA in good standing

  • 3+ years of Clinical Pharmacy experience

  • 2+ years in a recent Managed Care Clinical Pharmacy Role focused on Stars or HEDIS measures

  • Advanced skill sets in customer service, communication, and group presentations

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Practice Pharmacist License, CA

  • Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist, or other applicable certifications

  • 1+ years of a Pharmacy Practice Residency

  • Experience in managed care pharmacy (Pharmacy Benefits Manager, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid)

  • Experience using EMR systems

  • Knowledge in Medicare part D and/or Medicaid

  • Demonstrate accuracy, timeliness, organization and attention to detail

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
