The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Purchasing Coordinator to our growing Procurement division in Seattle, WA .

If you enjoy collaborating with a team, have strong attention to detail, and aspire to work in the construction supply chain field, this may be a perfect position for you. The Purchasing Coordinator performs a variety of complex administrative assignments in support of procurement-related functions.

In this role, you will gain an understanding of the procurement process and perform technical procurement support activities. You will also provide data input and/or operation of the procurement module of the Viewpoint system. Strong communication will take you far in this role while working with staff and outside vendors and managing the flow of information to Procurement staff and stakeholders. Some additional responsibilities include:

  • Perform technical procurement support activities as directed by Purchasing Manager.

  • May purchase minor miscellaneous materials as directed.

  • Provide data input and/or operation of the procurement module of the Viewpoint system.

  • Communicate with Procurement staff and outside vendors as appropriate.

  • Help manage the flow of information to Procurement staff and other stakeholders.

  • Work with Procurement leadership to establish/implement necessary procedures.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Excellent communication and writing skills required.

  • Two (2) years coordination or administrative experience in a commercial environment.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite- Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.

  • Degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.

  • Procurement coordinator experience in a construction environment is preferred.

T he pay range for this position is $17.52 - $29.23 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a non-exempt role and will be paid hourly. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
