Harborview Medical Center. has an outstanding opportunity for a Prosthetics & Orthotic Supply Chain Technician 2 (100% FTE, Full-Time, Days).
Under general supervision the P&O Supply Chain Tech II provides the Prosthetics & Orthotic Clinic with material support of patient care supplies and equipment using various inventory, communication, and procurement processes including management of such processes electronically via OPIE and PMM. The P&O Supply Chain Tech II performs routine stock room duties, patient specific ordering, quality control activities, daily shipping and receiving, and courier assignments as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts regular inventory counts of supplies and equipment.
Uses computer based systems for maintaining counts and placing (PMM, OPIE)
Performs requisition activities in appropriate systems
Ships items to vendors and patients
Receives items for inventory and patient care
Regularly reviews and updates par levels to reflect use frequencies
Checks items for expiration dates and rotates stock as appropriate
Communicate and track product recalls
Maintains compliance with state and institution policies regarding receipt, issuance, maintaining records, and inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment
Courier items to local vendors and other clinic locations regularly using department vehicle.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
High school graduation or equivalent AND six months of supply chain experience.
Valid Washington State Driver’s License is required.
Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach overhead, stoop, grasp, and twist.
DESIRED
Healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge of general office equipment such a fax machines, copy machines, scanners, and printers.
Ability to work in a busy, high-pressure environment.
