Otis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated New Equipment Project Manager to oversee coordination of activities on multiple new equipment installation projects. The NE Project Manager will ensure efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. The position will be based in Seattle, Washington.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Ensure flawless execution of each project by completing on schedule and within budget and customer expectations

  • Guarantee all projects meet all technical & safety standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and Otis quality commitments

  • Manage all contract activities from the project award stage until the completion of the elevator and escalator installation

  • Manage project scope to ensure alignment with the contract documents and negotiate scope modifications via change orders to the contract

  • Proactively communicate with multiple external representatives including general contractors, owners, architects, elevator consultants, and local authorities, on project requirements and deliverables

  • Ability to work closely with the internal sales staff, construction superintendents, factory staff, field installation teams, and senior leadership to ensure a successful project from both the financial and customer perspectives

  • Perform construction process duties including creating and managing submittals, RFIs, project billing, material procurement, and permitting

  • Understanding of architectural and structural drawings as well as project specifications

  • Work with internal teams and customers to solve problems and find common ground solutions

Education / Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment

  • Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers

  • Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities

  • Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software

  • Strong leadership skills and goal-orientated with excellent time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-3 years related project management and/or construction experience

  • Knowledge of the principals of cost estimating, construction, and contract administration

  • AutoCAD or similar computer drafting skills
