This position provides leadership for department initiatives to ensure project objectives are achieved in an efficient and effective manner. Works on small projects or phases within a larger project; directs project resources through definition, planning, implementation and transition of initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • Two years of project management experience or 4 years of project coordination experience is also required.

  • Must have demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and team facilitation skills.

  • Requires a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, as well as a willingness to learn MS Project or another designed project software.

Preferred:

  • Project management coursework or formal training.

  • Experience working with projects in a health care environment.

  • A familiarity with lean thinking concepts and methods.
