Someone with a proven track record of interfacing with and leading stakeholders at all levels including state and federal agencies, local communities and eNGOs to help and expand SWCA's offshore wind services on the Pacific Coast.This position is eligible for a range of positions, based on relevant experience:Assistant Project Environmental Planner-3 years of experienceAssociate Project Environmental Planner-5 years of experienceProject Environmental Planner-7 years of experienceThis is a full time, salaried position, eligible for distributed work along the Pacific Coast states. What you will accomplishYou will be responsible for performing environmental impact analyses, facilitating public and agency outreach, and providing quality assurance and leadership during the development of EAs and EISs. Project work will include NEPA, CEQA, permitting or a combination or subset thereof. Specific responsibilities include:Write and manage the preparation of EAs and EISs addressing the development for a wide variety of projects, including revisions of federal resource management plans (RMPs) and land use plans, issuance of rights-of-way, approvals, and/or leases, policy amendments, etc. In addition, this position will help lead, write, and manage the preparation of NEPA, CEQA and/or permitting documents related to projects managed by federal agencies or for those that occur on federal lands.Support business line growth objectives and lead the development of EAs and EISs, including NEPA, CEQA and/or permitting documents, for business lines that may include land use planning, generation, transmission, mining, and others.Assist teams by providing technical oversight and guidance for the preparation of key aspects of NEPA, CEQA and/or permitting documents and the NEPA permitting process, including Pre-NOI activities and project planning; development of the description of the proposed action and purpose and need; NEPA permitting document structuring and content planning; public scoping; public comment review and response; and Records of Decisions and Findings of No Significant Impact.Provide expertise to SWCA assistant project managers on complex NEPA, CEQA and/or permitting permitting projects.Provide enterprise-level support by contributing to business development pursuits and proposals.Foster, expand, and leverage a network of excellent client and stakeholder relationships with a focused set of large Offshore Wind-focused industry organizations consistent with our growth strategy and trajectory. Support SWCA offshore wind business growth through recruiting and helping to develop our next generation of leaders. Further advance our reputation for supporting offshore wind development projects which are some of the world's most challenging and complex projects. Provide business value based on a strong understanding of the offshore service line client needs and help raise the profile of SWCA with key clients, state and federal agencies and renewable energy organizations that have offshore wind in their portfolio.Maintain a working knowledge of industry business cycles and help prioritize sales efforts toward high potential, top opportunities.Drive innovation within the sector and track developments on the offshore wind industry to stay to differentiate SWC
