*SALARY RANGE: * $70,000 to $85,000 annual

 

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Nationally recognized environmental remediation contractor (#3 in ENR in 2024) looking for an intermediate level professional to support environmental construction projects in Seattle, Washington. 

 

Sevenson Environmental Services, Inc. is a General Contractor who performs construction projects in the Environmental Service market. Project execution typically includes but is not limited to: heavy civil construction; extensive earthwork; installation of earth retention systems; utility support and replacements; demolition; deep soil mixing; dredging; metals fixation; and soil disposal. Following completion of remediation, Sevenson performs site restoration, which includes: restoration of utilities; roadways and sidewalks; wetlands; streams and waterways; dams and earthen embankments; residential and commercial landscaping; recreational fields; etc.

 

Sevenson has been in business for over 100 years.  We have a huge program and great backlog of work.  This is not a contract position.  We hire our employees with the intent for them to retire at Sevenson.

 

Current job opening is in Seattle, Washington. However, Sevenson is a national contractor with jobsites located nationwide.

 

The daily work will include:

  • Report daily construction activities
  • Maintain daily material delivery tracking and various construction production logs
  • Preparation of written work plans and drawings
  • Quality control of ongoing construction work in accordance with the project construction drawings and specifications
  • Coordination of site deliveries with field personnel
  • Procurement of materials, equipment rentals and professional services
  • Project scheduling
  • Project accounting and cost tracking / financial management
  • Writing Purchase Orders for various material purchases, equipment rentals, and subcontracts
  • Coordination of various work tasks with site supervision
  • Participation in weekly meetings with the project stakeholders
  • Interfacing with the client and their representatives

     

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or applicable science or business degree from an accredited college/university.  This position requires a well-organized individual who is focused and dedicated.  Good communication skills are a must as the selected individual will interact regularly with internal project management staff, field supervision, professional services, construction subcontractors, and the client's representatives. 

 

Other job requirements include:

  • Minimum 5 years previous construction or engineering/consulting industry experience supporting construction or related Project Management experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Knowledge or prior use of MS Project a plus
  • Knowledge or prior use of AutoCAD software a plus but not required
  • General knowledge of OSHA safety regulations a plus
  • Generalized heavy civil/earthwork construction experience preferred
