Job Title: Project Engineer/Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to manage technology or integration projects, ensuring the successful delivery of solutions that meet project goals. This role involves working directly with external equipment vendors, customers, and partners, and requires a solid understanding of the design approaches and industry technologies used in fulfillment and distribution center designs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technology or integration projects to deliver solutions that meet project goals.

  • Work with external equipment vendors, customers, and partners to ensure successful project execution.

  • Understand and apply industry technologies and design approaches in fulfillment and distribution center designs.

  • Handle vendor management and project coordination.

  • Oversee equipment installation and commissioning.

  • Manage and be responsible for cumulative automation project budgets ranging from $0.5 million to $50 million.

  • Provide technical leadership for large-scale industrial engineering projects.

  • Design and implement integrated automation solutions, including complex material handling systems, high-speed packaging lines, and manufacturing lines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of experience as a project engineer, process engineer, project manager, manufacturing engineer, or related occupation.

  • Proven technical leadership for large-scale industrial engineering projects.

  • Experience with integrated automation solutions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Project, and Outlook.

  • Highly proficient CAD skills, capable of independently developing an integrated automation layout.

  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to installation sites throughout North America.

Work Environment

This role requires extensive travel, with up to 90% of the time spent at installation sites across the United States. Typically, team members travel on Monday mornings and return on Friday afternoons, though some may choose to stay over the weekend. This position offers the opportunity to build a substantial internal network, work with various internal vendors, and develop project management skills across multiple disciplines. There are also excellent prospects for consultants to be recommended for other teams and opportunities within the organization.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
