KPFF Consulting Engineers Project Coordinator - 2527 in Seattle, Washington

About Us: KPFF's Special Projects Division in downtown Seattle, Washington, is actively seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to contribute to our exciting and dynamic design-build projects. Responsibilities: As a Project Coordinator at KPFF, your primary focus will be to support Project Manager(s) and design teams in the successful delivery of our design-build projects. Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialized project controls for design-build initiatives, assisting in project scope, schedule, and budget monitoring.
  • Creating and managing Project Set-Up Forms, preparing comprehensive contract documents, and facilitating seamless coordination with subconsultants throughout the project delivery process.
  • Monitoring contract expenditures, reporting variances, and actively participating in project budget development and monthly invoicing.
  • Finalizing and executing Work Directives/Task Orders, and performing meticulous contract administrative management.
  • Reviewing, processing, and monitoring proposed contract changes and change orders.
  • Reinforcing quality procedures for contract documents and financial reporting and working with other staff to ensure compliance with contract requirements;
  • Managing workload efficiently to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines for project milestones.
  • Maintaining accurate and organized project files throughout the entire lifecycle, including establishing efficient filing systems tailored to the needs of design-build projects.
  • Providing administrative support with a focus on design-build projects, including file management, updating schedules, attending and documenting meetings, tracking documents, and contributing to technical editing and formatting of project documents.
  • Preparing or overseeing the development of subconsultant agreements and task orders.
  • Ensuring clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding .project inquiries or department procedures/requirements.
  • Providing project managers with monthly design-build project and contract reporting status, assisting in the preparation of invoicing in support of the Accounting Manager.

Position Details: Full-time, non-exempt position. Location: Downtown Seattle office with occasional presence on project sites. Position Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with and take direction from multiple levels of professional staff.
  • Effective prioritization and strong time management skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a design-build project environment is a plus.
