Couglin Porter Lundeen Project Analyst in Seattle, Washington
Project Analyst, Coughlin Porter Lundeen, Inc., Seattle, WA: The Project Analyst will be responsible for providing project support on highly visible and challenging engineering projects.
Duties and responsibilities of the position include:
Preparing and tracking permit applications
- Use MS Project to track and forecast permit cycles. Most projects at CPL have multiple layers of permitting, each containing different technical content.
- Use Bluebeam, MS Project, and MS Teams to track and verify completion of required elements for permit submittals, including coordinating with technical staff as needed to facilitate cross-team communication inside and outside of CPL.
Compile permit submittals to ensure they comply with City requirements.
Work plan creation and continuous improvement under the direction of the Project Manager (Or Principal)
- Work with Civil Mgmt. and Civil Project Managers to establish Work Plan templates.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures content for Work Plan, such as milestone Quality Control steps to integrate with Project Managers into each project Plan, as well as to evaluate and evolve interface with staff for access and usability.
Assist Project Managers in individual project tracking and updates to Work Plan as needed, either to guide their use and ensure cross-group consistency for staff, or to do the updates due to Project Managers time constraints as needed.
Construction administration on large projects under the direction of the Project Manager (Or Principal)
- Create presentation imagery for written and presentation communication.
Track, provide updates, and coordinate technical completion of responses to Request for Information (RFIs).
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) composition and completion
Compile technical information as needed from project drainage information and populate correct portions of State/EPA NPDES (Environmental Protection Agency -- National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) online forms.
Preparing project summaries and updates
Create narratives and summaries as required. Supplement written portion with graphical input produced using Revit and Bluebeam.
Report/spec compilations under the direction of the Project Manager/Project Engineer
Help with compilation of operational and maintenance (O&M) manuals and associated portions of technical reports, including final compilation and written quality control.
Cost opinions under the direction of the Project Manager
Assist with quantity verification in support of cost opinions on projects.
Coordinate SEPA (State Environmental Policy Act) Permit under the direction of the Project Manager
Identify which internal and external team member is best qualified to provide information for permit. Coordinate and compile responses into a single document.

Education: A master's degree (U.S. or foreign degree equivalent) in project management, architecture, civil engineering, or closely related field.
Experience: Two years of experience in a project management, construction management, architecture, or closely related occupation.
