The Job Details are as follows:

The Program Manager will lead and manage the implementation and evaluation of projects as assigned. This work will include establishing project timelines and milestones, delegating and coordinating tasks among staff, facilitating communication among all stakeholders, preparing project-related reports for grant funders, and being responsible for successfully fulfilling project deliverables. The manager will also identify ways to align project deliverables with WebJunctions mission and strategic objectives, and provide thought leadership and visibility for WebJunction in the area of staff development and collaborative learning, especially for small and rural libraries. The Program Manager will need to quickly become familiar with new domains and topics, and along with project staff, create content such as articles, webinar presentations, toolkits, and resource guides that support project deliverables.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform project management tasks: establish timeline, milestones, and process to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget
  • Facilitate communication with all stakeholders across multiple channels
  • Delegate and coordinate tasks among project staff, project partners, and contractors
  • Prepare reports for grantors and funders
  • Coordinate with staff to track and manage project budget
  • Work with program director, instructional designer, subject matter experts, and community manager to create and deliver content, courses, and programming that supports the project deliverables
  • Manage program evaluations
  • Document and report on project activities through regular meetings and reporting to members, volunteers, partners, and colleagues
  • Publish ongoing work and results on WebJunction and in library-related publications, and present at conferences and meetings

     

Requirements:

  • Excellent written, organizational. and communications skills.
  • Understanding of online learning tools and online community building.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide variety of groups and individuals.
  • Self-directed with strong commitment to collaborative working style.
  • Excellent Web conferencing and presentation skills.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and knowledge of communications technologies.
  • Minimum of two years experience with project coordination/management.
  • Bachelor of Arts degree - Masters of Library or Information Science degree (desirable)
  • Experience in public libraries (desirable)

Compensation:

  • Salary range for this position is $73,300 - $97,700, depending on experience and location
