This role will own business operations for Defensive Security, managing headcount, yearly operational planning, budget allocation, and the overarching rhythm of the business. Outside of business operations, this role is responsible for implementing and driving program management for large-scale, complex, global information security events and initiatives. You will partner with service, engineering, and security teams, bringing process and rigor to the response and non-response focused programs. You will play a critical role optimizing processes to benchmark best in class operations, standardize performance, and drive continuous improvement. This requires managing and balancing multiple priorities simultaneously, and at times, supporting response operations with our incident response and vulnerability management teams.

You can expect all the challenges and benefits of a high-profile business: wide-open space for improvement and innovation, a strong performing team, and a fast-paced environment. These will require a willingness to dive into the details, solve new problems as they arise, leverage high judgment and willingness to disrupt the current processes to enhance a process, and always obsess over customers. You will join a team focused on creating unique customer experiences where ownership of the customer experience is key.

If you enjoy working at scale in a rapidly changing environment and influencing the protection of customers’ data within a large global organization, this position will provide you with a challenging opportunity.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Experience operating in a highly ambiguous and iterative business space

  • Attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

  • Expert written and verbal communication skills

  • A mix of technical knowledge and aptitude, and the ability to deliver communications and documentation in the format best suited for diverse audiences

  • High-level of ownership over the end-to-end process

  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired

  • Ability to clearly communicate data insights to others

  • Ability to work independently with limited general supervision

  • Ability to manage customer and leadership expectations

Key job responsibilities

  • Managing headcount, yearly operational planning, budget allocations, and other business operations

  • Coordinating relationships and information flow with business partners (i.e., recruiting, human resources, finance)

  • Developing and executing operational programs across Defensive Security

  • Developing and distributing daily, weekly, and monthly reports on team programs

  • Reviewing security documentation and identifying operational opportunities for Defensive Security teams
