Amazon Program Manager, Community in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Amazon Grocery Logistics (AGL) team is looking for a Program Manager to join and support the Stores Community Team within the World Wide Grocery Stores (WWGS) organization. The Stores Community team is the operational arm supporting broader community impact strategies across the foundational pillars of Food Donations, Volunteerism, Community Engagement and Disaster Relief. Stores Community partners closely with internal teams such as Amazon Community Impact (ACI), WWGS Sustainability and Social Impact (SASI) and Fresh Stores Marketing. This role will play a key part in developing, scaling, and sustaining WWGS global community operations programs and embodying the leadership principle “Success and Scale Bring Broad Responsibility.”

Key job responsibilities

• You work independently to successfully manage difficult, cross-functional projects (from inception to completion) delivering high quality results (e.g., efficient, compliant, understandable, secure, maintainable, low-defects, etc.).

• You manage and execute processes that support multiple pillars within the Community team. You partner with stakeholders and/or managers to set priorities, milestones, and drive delivery to meet deadlines for program goals.

• You improve team processes and metrics across all pillars by identifying opportunities for automation, blockers to scalability and gaps in parity.

• You work with internal field partners (i.e. Amazon Fresh warehouses and stores) and external partners (non-profits) to develop, implement and iterate on network-wide processes related to donations and waste diversion.

• You are proficient at transforming raw thoughts into clear, consistent, accurate documentation and/or direction. You consistently impart clear and concise summaries for the projects you own to your leadership/management team and are effective at answering questions in detail.

• You keep the scope of effort under control and accelerate progress, or operational efficiencies, by driving crisp and timely decisions, identifying and clearing blockers, and escalating appropriately.

• You have good working relationships with stakeholders, managers, and peers. You recognize discordant views and take part in constructive dialogue to resolve them.

• You have flexibility to travel up to once per month to engage with internal and external partners, ensuring operational processes are operating efficiently and providing feedback where needed.
