Description

Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented program manager to support our regulatory compliance related to artificial intelligence.

In this role, you will work directly with business and legal teams to develop and execute regulatory compliance plans related to artificial intelligence. Duties include: creating and managing compliance tools and resources; coordinating communication among legal, business, and public policy stakeholders on topics like regulatory interpretation and AI inventory exercises; and tracking and reporting on compliance progress.

You will develop strategies for handling a large and growing set of requirements in creative, business-centric ways, and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business to innovate and scale quickly. This position requires strong judgment and practical thinking, the ability to find effective solutions when faced with uncertainty, a passion for operations and process improvement, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Our work is intellectually challenging, exciting, and fast-paced. Compensation is based on experience and includes equity compensation.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • Experience with regulatory compliance

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
