AWS Fintech is looking for an exceptionally bright and self-motivated Program Manager to join AWS Fintech Business Operations, a fast-paced, agile team chartered to drive and scale internal programs as the organization grows and evolves. You will support a global team of engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts in the areas of business planning and reporting, internal events, employee campaigns and communications, and people operations.

You will be a trusted partner across the business, collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to improve upon current processes and tools. You will have the ability to think strategically, act effectively, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. You will also be tasked with cross-functional project teams, and must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive global initiatives and KPIs, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in, and get the job done. Maturity, high judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role.

Key job responsibilities

• Identify and execute internal process and program opportunities across a global team; partner with AWS Fintech leadership and cross-functional teams to drive change management and adoption.

• Define and track success metrics for key programs; assess the health and benefit of programs in order to make decisions on what to grow, evolve, or discontinue.

• Gather and analyze customer feedback, requests, and suggestions; provide valuable insights to leadership team for improvements – must be excel proficient.

• Own key internal communications channels + platforms. Develop and execute org-wide communication plans to inform and inspire employee base.

A day in the life

You will work on a small team that's at the heart of AWS Fintech - one day you might be leading a QBR, the next day, you could be planning for an org-wide event like our annual Hackathon or Summit, or developing a new strategy to drive employee retention and engagement. About the team

At AWS Fintech, we build and operate systems that provide management and financial reporting for AWS. Our vision is to create a comprehensive finance data platform for AWS that automates repetitive data management operations, enabling finance users to focus on what matters most: telling a story with data and making informed business decisions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
