Grand Central Bakery Production Baker 1 (Night Shift) in Seattle, Washington
Do you have a desire to develop artisan bakery skills? Would you like to make a career out of baking hand-crafted breads from the highest quality ingredients? Grand Central Bakery is hiring production bread bakers to produce our savory flaky pastries and flavor-packed rustic breads for our customers!
No experience necessary, we are willing to train!
The Baker 1 is responsible for learning to produce high quality artisan baked goods while maintaining efficiency and adhering FSMA requirements. This position requires an attention to detail, a desire to continually improve upon one’s skills as a production baker, and an ability to work cooperatively in a production level team environment.
Location: Seattle Wholesale, 21 S Nevada St., Seattle, WA 98134
Rate of Pay: This position pays $20.91 per hour. Opportunity for advancement at 180 days upon successful completion of a training program.
Schedule: Full-time, est. 4-5 shifts per week, night shift. Schedule flexibility and the ability to work weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications and Skills:
Must be at least 18 years old
Maintains food handler’s card – new hires are expected to have a valid card by their first date of work
Working knowledge of and ability to speak and understand basic English preferred
Basic math skills required
Ability and readiness to stand for eight-hour shifts and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
1+ year(s) professional baking experience preferred (not required)
Must have reliable transportation
Physical requirements include but are not limited to:
Bakers are required to stand for 100% of their shift.
Walking up to the equivalent of two miles per shift and may require carrying up to 30 lbs.
Working in warm environments. The production facility is constantly exposed to wheat flour dust and other grain dusts (rye, corn, oat).
