Google Product Strategy and Operations Lead, Google Cloud in Seattle, Washington

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in management consulting or product management, and Strategy or Analytics function in a technology company.

  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects.

  • Experience with SQL.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a Management, Technical, or Engineering field.

  • Experience working for or with established enterprise tech companies or cloud service providers.

  • Experience working with data, and in spreadsheets and SQL

  • Excellent problem solving and analysis skills, with the ability to structure analyses, drive/execute data modeling, and report on initiatives.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is changing the way the world uses cloud computing by exposing infrastructure and solutions to companies of all sizes, everywhere. The Google Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) drives many of the Google Cloud products, and is organized into a number of key areas of focus including Storage, Networking, and Google Distributed Cloud.

The mission is to empower the business and Product/Engineering leadership by identifying growth, profitability and partnership opportunities, ensure that the business runs to drive business outcomes.

In this role, you will interface with product and engineering leaders and take a data-driven approach to identifying product trends and business performance, and will also partner with them on building business plans, product strategies, and new product or market entry business cases.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Develop market and strategic analysis, working with leadership and the Product Management team (e.g., market sizing, buy/build/partner assessment, competitive strategy/game theory).

  • Deliver data, analytics, and insights in strategic initiatives for Cloud storage that helps leadership with critical decision-making.

  • Lead cross-functional project teams in structuring and executing analyses needed to develop recommendations, and communicate findings to senior management.

  • Define and track key product/business metrics/KPIs, lead monthly and quarterly business reviews.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership, based on strategic insights, analysis.
