Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B) has an exciting opportunity on the United States Air Force (USAF) E-7A Program for Senior or Lead Product Security Engineers located in Seattle, WA .

In this position you will work closely with the program managers, contracts, estimating, supply chain, engineering, suppliers and/or customers to execute the program. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers.

The Product Security Engineering Lead will provide engineering leadership to multi-skilled teams developing innovative solutions to field the next generation of AEW&C aircraft. The successful candidate will apply their technical skills, ensure engineering quality, and coordinate across the program to design, test, and integrate security into the aircraft.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Senior or Lead Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide Engineering leadership to teams representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers.

  • Resolve technical issues through coordination with engineering and the Chief Engineer.

  • Apply confidentiality, integrity, and availability considerations in all phases of the system development lifecycle.

  • Secure embedded systems platforms and architectures.

  • Conduct risk assessments, attack path analysis, and security requirements testing.

  • Lead technical documentation efforts.

  • Support the development, implementation, and sustainment of product security and resiliency throughout the requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle.

  • Support the development and enhancement of system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements.

  • Manage deliverables by defining plans for risk mitigation, issues, and opportunities; and monitor baseline plans to assess project performance, productivity, and lessons.

  • Brief customers and leadership on program status; risks, issues, and opportunities; and help needed.

  • Develop statement of work (SOW) and/or supplier statement of work (SSOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements.

  • Identify and manage changes to SOW and/or SSOW and assesses the impact of those changes and incorporates changes into statement of work.

  • Provide technical integration leadership for the development and execution of the project or team plan.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): (see education and experience for the levels below)

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

  • 5 or more years of experience working in an engineering discipline.

  • Ability to obtain a Security+, a CISSP certification or equivalent Cyber Security certification within 6 months of employment in this role.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with embedded systems and embedded system security

  • 2 or more years of experience in Agile project management.

  • Experience with System and Subsystem levels of requirements generation.

  • Ability to collaborate with team members and develop execution plans for deliverables.

  • Experience collaborating and integrating various functional groups such as manufacturing, engineering, and supplier management.

  • Active CISSP or Security+ certification.

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for senior: (level 4): $146,200 - $197,800

Summary pay range for lead: (level 5): $175,950 - $238,050
