Amazon Web Services Principal Worldwide Business Development Redshift Specialist in Seattle, Washington
Description
As a Worldwide Business Development (BD) Specialist, you will own the growing adoption, utilization, and revenue for an AWS service worldwide. You will gather customer and industry needs and partner with AWS product teams to innovate, develop, and deliver AWS offerings. BD Specialists are technically savvy resources responsible for identifying opportunities to innovate with customers, influencing the AWS product roadmap, and driving revenue for a specific AWS service. As a BD Specialist, you will own, develop, and implement technical go-to-market plans and sales plays for new or existing services, and drive customer and partner engagements by participating in AWS field enablement activities. You will also identify gaps in AWS products or feature sets based on customer insights and partner with internal product teams to win strategic customer workloads and drive business revenue.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
10+ years of experience with technical business development, sales, strategic partnerships, and program/product management
5+ years of experience working with customers to deploy cloud or software development solutions
Experience in leading and influencing negotiation with minimal direction from leadership, up to the c-suite or VP level
Experience in describing and selling technical cloud services or software technology products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
College/university degree
AWS Cloud Practitioner certification
Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight or direction from leadership
In-depth understanding of cloud technologies, software development, and solutions architecture
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others and drive customer relationships built on trust and results
Excellent business judgement and demonstrated ability to think and act both strategically and tactically

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
