This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to Earth's orbit and beyond. Engineered with a reusable first stage and a seven-meter payload fairing, New Glenn is building the road to space. We are a small team of passionate experts, each with full ownership over the operations of our respective domains. Our team is looking to hire someone who can take ownership of defining and enforcing the operation of their subsystem. As an operations integrator, you will be the authority on all aspects of each subsystem, including CONOPS, functional architecture, components, software, and integrated interactions. You will follow the development component hardware, autonomous software, and integrated development testing, and will be accountable for feeding forward lessons learned into the integrated operation of your subsystem on the flight vehicle. You will be the stage-level Vehicle Operations Integration lead, and you will create a comprehensive set of constraints, alerts, and limits for the New Glenn integrated test and launch teams within the following disciplines: * Avionics * Mechanical * Pyro/separation * Cryogenic fluids * Pressurized pneumatic fluids * Hydrazine fluids * Engines The ideal candidate is highly diligent and future-thinking, can handle a broad set of diverse data, and has a deep passion for Blue Origin's mission. Responsibilities: Lead development of detailed CONOPS and operating requirements for pre-launch and flight operations Define operational constraints for the end-to-end safe handling and successful operation of the subsystem Collaborate with integrated test, launch operations, and autonomous flight operations customer teams to incorporate operational constraints into downstream procedures and flight plans Provide real-time engineering anomaly resolution during integrated test and launch operations Qualifications: Minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical field 10+ years of validated experience with a combination of analysis, design, testing, and operations for launch systems 10+ years' experience with a launch system operator Hands-on experience in developing, authoring, and implementing integrated tests or operating launch vehicles In-depth working subsystem domain knowledge Ability to work with partially defined requirements and changing criteria Passion for Blue Origin's mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
