Amazon’s Region Flex Migration team is actively seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to expand in Seattle. The Region Flex Migration team is chartered to building and utilizing essential infrastructure capabilities, tools, and datasets for Amazon's rapid global expansion of SOA. Our primary emphasis lies in crafting resilient and scalable architecture patterns for regional placement automation, integrating engineering best practices, and championing the adoption of state-of-the-art AWS technologies to ensure the operation of all Amazon services with multi-region redundancy.

We are actively seeking a dynamic and innovative Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to play a key role in realizing our ambitious vision. The Principal TPM will make pivotal contributions to the overall migration strategy and technical approach. Your role will involve providing guidance to Directors and VPs leading service teams. You will identify risks/opportunities in technical strategies or in engineering organization structure(s) and develop plans to address them. You'll be responsible for devising an execution plan, coordinating its implementation across various organizations, monitoring progress, and ensuring program success. This is an opportunity to have an enormous impact across Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

  • 8+ years of project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
