Description
Looking for an opportunity to use your excellent writing and program management skills while gaining exposure to cross-functional initiatives on the Employee Relations (ER) team? We are seeking a Principal, Program Manager, who has skills in planning, execution, and delivery of projects on our team.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• Planning, execution, and delivery of projects on the employee relations team
• Apply project-management best practices to make the team and process area you are in more efficient.
• You resolve blocking problems, and facilitate delivery. You are able to assign individual responsibilities, develop appropriate milestones and launch schedules to ensure timely and successful delivery of a project.
• Work backward, starting with customers, stakeholders, and any related team owners. You work to understand their needs/problem(s) and you incorporate their context into project plans.
• Partner closely with senior leaders across the organization to understand business priorities, initiatives, and key messages, and translate these into impactful written materials
• Demonstrate exceptional writing and editing skills to craft persuasive narratives, data visualizations, and other content that resonates with executive-level audiences
• Stay abreast of evolving business and industry trends, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of executive communications
• Foster strong working relationships with business partners to provide strategic counsel and elevate the quality of high-stakes presentations and materials
• Develops quality business cases, influence policy, and drive enhancements. Associated white papers stand on their own to support recommendations.
• Model best practices in communications (status reports, program documents, PR/FAQs, stakeholder management), planning and scheduling, identifying critical path, managing within budget and resource constraints, managing - Strong knowledge and experience working with HR practices and employee relations
Basic Qualifications
Basic qualifications
• 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
• 7+ years of program or project management experience
• 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, with the skill to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and compelling narratives
• Keen business acumen and the ability to quickly understand diverse business functions, strategies, and challenges
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate cross-functional inputs, meet deadlines, and effectively manage competing priorities
• Comfort navigating ambiguity, and the agility to adapt communications styles and approaches to the needs of various executive stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with leaders at all levels
• Skilled in data analysis and data acumen
• Strong business and financial acumen
• Organized, detail-oriented, and delivers results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
