Amazon Principal Product Manager - Tech, Visual First Shopping Experience in Seattle, Washington

Leveraging state-of-the-art Generative AI technology, we aim to transform the current text-heavy product page experience to a visually-rich, engaing and efficient journey. We are looking for a principal product manager to lead this change of a lifetime with a global impact, touching millions of customers and for the largest catalog of products worldwide.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will be at the forefront of defining the vision and strategy for our visual-first customer experience. Your leadership will guide the productization of cutting-edge generative AI investments, delivering business results with immediate opportunities, drive the change in our ecosystem of content sourcing and content displays as well invent new seamless and personalized customer experiences.

  • Dynamic and creative, with a knack for tackling complex challenges by breaking them into bite-sized chunks, and finding work-arounds to blockers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Craft and articulate the vision and strategy for a transformative visual-first shopping experience, aligning with business objectives and customer needs.

  • Dive deep into automation, AI, and Generative AI technologies, identifying experiences that elevate the customer experience.

  • Build compelling business cases and generate innovative ideas, supported by insightful data analysis.

  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with key internal and external partners, aligning priorities with business goals, and securing executive buy-in for product roadmaps.

  • Lead cross-functional teams through influence, managing stakeholders effectively, and ensuring clear communication across all levels of the organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience technical product management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
