Description
Within Amazon Personalization, we seek to understand each customer uniquely, more completely, and collectively, deeply personalizing the experience to each customer across every service they use. We are looking for a Principal PM-T to define a multi-year product strategy and influence teams and leaders across the company towards a shared mental model on how to deliver deeply personalized, shareable experiences. Through our investments, we seek to leverage the latest advance in generative AI to deliver new experiences for customers.
We own the experience to create profiles on the Amazon Store and key services and experiences that help us understand durable preferences about each customer, while making those insights useful to deliver a deeply personalized experience. We also own the roadmap for experiences that enable customers to manage their profiles across all Amazon services, including Alexa, Prime Video, Kindle, and others. Together, this PM-T will be influencing product strategy across multiple VP-led organizations.
Key job responsibilities
Define and articulate the product strategy across a range of front-end experiences and Tier-1 services
Define and articulate a product strategy to leverage generative AI to deliver transformative personalized customer experiences
Influence multiple VP-led organizations on their CX approaches and investment priorities
Collaborate with Senior SDEs and Principal Engineers across organizations to define scalable technical approaches
Own the branding approach and go-to-market strategy for new-to-world products and experiences
Navigate ambiguity to define org-wide product strategy and annual prioritization
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with end to end product delivery
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Experience technical product management
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
