Job summaryThe AWS Managed Service (AMS) Cloud Service Delivery team is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM).The successful candidate will lead and support the growth opportunities inside our customer organizations through the operational stages of the post migration AMS environment. This role will develop a delivery strategy for AMS growth and execute that strategy with customers, internal teams ( business development, operational and account teams). The BDM is a trusted advisor for our customers and will focus on increasing AMS solution adoption by providing customer value and satisfaction. AMS is designed to accelerate cloud adoption. It simplifies deployment, migration, and management using automation and machine learning, backed up by a dedicated team of Amazon employees. AMS provides ongoing management of the AWS infrastructure. We automate common activities such as change requests, monitoring,patch management, security, and backup services, and provide full-lifecycle services to provision, run, and supportyour infrastructure.We are looking for someone that is about being at the forefront of transformational technology and assisting enterprise customers take advantage of AMS services and features to run their mission-critical applications. We are obsessed about successful outcomes for the Customer. The BDM collaborates across AMS and AWS teams to getthe right solution delivered at the right time, and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs and desired outcomes. Some specific parts of the role will include:* Engage customers - collaborate with AWS sales and partner teams to develop strong customer and partner relationships and build a growing business to drive AMS adoption among operating customers.* Accelerate adoption - develop AMS adoption plans with customers that focus on operational excellence and positive short-term ROI, identify & develop specific opportunities and supporting business cases, manageissues, risks, and feedbacks.* Support the customer relationship - plan and implement a portfolio of projects, including budget & deliverable responsibilities, drive accountabilities.* Be an advocate - work with AWS and AMS engineering teams to convey partner and enterprise customer feedback as input to product roadmaps* Be collaborative - work with each account's operational support team led by the Cloud Service Delivery Manager(CSDM) to ensure that customer satisfaction remains high to foster and enable AMS growth based on great outcomes andexperiences* Think big - ability to assess customer marketplace circumstances, organizational readiness, and C-level sponsor willingness to initiate conversations that lead to broader strategic transformation programs,construct large, complex multi-month programs which can include multiple engagement services* 1 0+ years of technology related business development or sales experience.* 1 0+ years of field experience delivering infrastructure or cloud services to enterprise accounts* Experience and proficiency in communication including presentation skills to senior management atcustomer sites.* Experience and track record of developing relationships with senior IT decision makers* Experience of managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects* Ability to travel to customer locations as needed* BA/BS degree required.* An Extensive customer network.* Knowledgeable about "Cloud Computing" at local markets.* Understanding of infrastructure-as-a-service (laaS) cloud computing transition challenges.* Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.* Understand cloud operational integration and its impacts to traditional enterprise IT business models* AWS Experience preferred* Previous Technical Managed Service ExperienceThe pay range for this position in Colorado is $170,943
