A comprehensive yet incisive thinker, this individual will be responsible for creating and clarifying brand inputs to brand architecture, brand identity, product & feature roadmaps, and campaign development to positively shift perceptions, influence desired customer behaviors, and grow our business.The Principal Brand Strategist works closely with teammates and partners across Campaign Management, Creative, Content, Product, and UX as well as with brand & business stakeholders in other parts of Amazon, agencies and external companies. This individual thrives in complex and fast-paced environments and is preternaturally gifted at finding a true, distinctive, and compellingly clear strategic narrative in the most complicated business and consumer challenges.To be successful in the role, the candidate will demonstrate the following behaviors:Is able to implement high-level brand thinking across the organization by working with different departments to develop tenets for decision-making.Dives deep into quantitative data around business, customer perceptions and behavior and is able to translate it into clear, actionable insights.Provides thoughtful, incisive and sometimes subtle analysis of qualitative data.Finds compelling narratives around our brands and their customers that capture the attention and imaginations of internal stakeholders and external consumers.Has an appetite for a healthy level of structural ambiguity and a resilient spirit.Is in touch with and has a deep curiosity about cultural, social and technological trends.Communicates clearly & effectively, ensures understanding, establishes credibility with peers & leaders.Writes with laser-sharp clarity, using data to support assertions while still inspiring new thoughts and solutions.Engages in active listening and gathers diverse perspectives, knowing when and where to provide sometimes divergent perspective.Employs sound critical thinking & problem-solving approaches, comes to the table with solutions.Key job responsibilitiesGuide the development, implementation and maintenance of brand architecture to effectively position Halo for near- and long-term success.Activate brand strategy across the Halo org to influence customer experience, product roadmaps/prioritization, marketing campaigns, content creation, etc.Partner with campaign management to write creative briefs that inspire big ideas and strong creative execution for cross-channel campaigns (awareness, acquisition, engagement).Collaborate with creative teams and agency partners to ensure strategic alignment of creative executions and marketing/media activations against the brief.Partner with research and measurement teams to effectively identify insights and assess brand and campaign performance.10+ years' experience as a brand planner/strategist inside advertising agencies, brand strategy consultancies, or the equivalent role inside a brand marketing organization.Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experienceTrack record of navigating complex businesses and producing breakthrough, famous work that drove results.Mastery of brand strategies with the ability to articulate your knowledge in a way that resonates with peers of technical or other non-marketing backgrounds.An articu
