Alaska Marine Lines Pricing Analyst - DF974 in Seattle, Washington
Alaska Marine Lines is seeking a motivated individual toevaluate, analyze, and develop market-based pricing for contracts and tariffs. They will also need to demonstrate a firm grasp of company operations, rating principles and knowledge of market conditions to make and authorize pricing decisions. Additionally, they will provide rating guidance to Customer Service and Sales. This is not a safety sensitive position.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- - Conducts market research and gathers competitive market intelligence that impacts and supports business goals and market pricing.
- - Lead analysis and develop pricing related proposals, bids, quotations, RFP responses.
- - Negotiate rates and agreements with customers for whom the Pricing Analyst is the primary contact.
- - Evaluate, analyze, and propose contract pricing.
- - Analyze requests for changes to market pricing taking into consideration volume, competition, market impact; approve or propose alternatives as appropriate.
- - Conduct and implement annual contract reviews.
- - Work with Sales department to ensure adherence to Alaska Marine Lines pricing policy.
- - Translate customer provided materials listed into QuotePro for bidding and analysis.
