Portfolio Accountant
Indigo Real Estate Services Inc, a national third-party property management company located in Seattle, WA., is currently seeking a Property Accountant to join its Seattle based team. Ideal candidates must have a four (4) year undergraduate degree from an accredited university and a minimum of three (3) years of multifamily conventional and affordable property accounting experience. YARDI Accounting experience is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities
Compile financial information to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports as requested by client
Reviews budget, revenue, indirect and direct expenses, invoices, and other accounting documents
Researches and resolve discrepancies as necessary
Maintain accounting support and other documentation for annual audits
Monitors accounting control procedures by analyzing revenue and expenditure trends
Acts as liaison to internal and external employees and client partners by explaining journal entries and financial transactions, providing research data and information as requested, and answering questions necessary to complete the audit in a timely manner.
Communicates with investment managers and on-site property managers to assist in completing pre-close and other monthly closing activities, provide support, and ensure timely completion of accounting processes for on-time client and company reporting.
Completes various financial, accounting, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or as necessary
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in an effective, efficient, accurate and timely manner
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
High proficiency with Excel and YARDI
