Summary: The Plumbing Service Manager for JH Kelly's Seattle location is responsible for overseeing the operations within the Plumbing Service Department, managing field crews, coordinating jobs, biding plumbing service work, organizing execution of work with dispatchers, supervising field foreman, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The Plumbing Service Manager is part of the Service Team and is responsible for providing excellent internal and external customer support through various administrative support tasks and responsibilities.
The standard schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Salary Range: $102,000 - $144,000 (DOE), FLSA Exempt.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily Service Plumbing operations, including service work by technicians, bidding plumbing service work, and ensuring deliverables meet customer needs in a timely fashion.
Supervise field foreman and field crews, providing guidance and support as needed.
Implement and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Prepare and propose plumbing service work or projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Work with the billing team to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget.
Work with the dispatch team to assist with the coordination of deliverables and service work.
Answer incoming phone calls from the field – assisting as necessary.
Represent the Plumbing Service Department at internal operational meetings, project kick-off, and site visits.
Notifying dispatch and warehouse team of material being ordered for project work.
Promote and lead by example teamwork and customer service when interacting with internal and external customers
Perform general office tasks to keep the Plumbing Service Team organized and on track, communicating work in progress with the service team.
Coordinating Job mobilization and demobilization efforts with service dispatch and field crew, duties include but are not limited to
Ordering parts for plumbing service projects on won bid jobs
Coordinating and performing job walks for new plumbing service work
Help coordinate Plumbing Service Projects with Plumbing field crews and dispatchers
Job review on completion of plumbing service calls or project work
Communication with the service team and customers promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service.
Perform additional tasks as required
Relationships:
Maintain proactive and positive relationships within the JH Kelly team, service technicians, and management, including shop and field craft personnel.
Foster positive relationships with customers, customer representatives, vendors, and suppliers.
Experience / Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in Plumbing Service and Service work, the level of which is likely attained with 10-15 years of related work experience
Proficiency in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Must have a valid driver's license & clean driving record
Familiarity with the Washington Plumbing code and applicable laws
Experience proposing and bidding work
Experience in safety regulations and best practices in Plumbing Service operations.
Service Plumbing field experience preferred
Physical ability to walk job sites, climb ladders or stairs, sit or stand for long periods.
