Overview Suncoast Post Tension, Ltd., a Keller company, is an established post-tension company that has been in business for over 30 years. We supply construction related materials to builders from one of our eight facilities in the US. Suncoast manufactures and delivers both post tension cables and rebar to various residential and commercial jobsites. We are looking for a dependable team player to manage our Marysville, Washington plant. The Plant Manager will be reporting to the Branch Manager and will be responsible for overseeing the production, maintenance, logistics and quality assurance functions of the plant while coordinating the plant's manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with company objectives, quality systems, and customer expectations. Primary duties include planning production schedules, identifying productivity goals, and monitoring processes to ensure efficiency and compliance in the manufacturing process while also developing strategies necessary to ensure production goals are met at a minimal cost and maintains a safe work environment for the employees. Responsibilities * Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day plant operations * Implement strategic improvements for production, quality, and labor utilization throughout the facility * Provide leadership to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and equipment * Collaborate with functional departments in the implementation of improvements * Investigate and implement innovative manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve product quality * Apply and train employee on lean manufacturing principles to achieve organizational goals * Ensure that production schedules are in accordance with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial planning * Manage materials replenishment, quality standards, and performance metrics in support of organizational goals and objectives * Manage cost structures for manufacturing by keeping operational expenses within budget allowance, and investigate cost-reduction measures * Create documentation protocols and ensure that all records of operations are properly maintained and reviewed * Ensuring production output, product quality, and on-time shipping * Utilizing assets to produce optimal results * Collecting and analyzing data to find areas of waste and overtime * Generating production reports to present to senior management * Ensure safety procedures are adhered to and maintain a safe work environment for employees * Developing systems and processes that track and optimize productivity * Keeping up to date with latest production management best practices * Monitoring operations, initiating and driving corrective actions when needed * Overseeing work schedules to ensure coverage * Providing a clear sense of direction and focus to team members * Addressing employees' issues and working collaboratively with Human Resources to apply progressive discipline when needed * Interviewing, hiring, managing, and developing plant staff * Maintaining Industry Standards to pass unannounced Bi-Yearly inspections. * Perform Physical Inventories as required by Corporate. * Implement and maintain 5S practices and procedures. * Oversee Company vehicles and drivers. * Oversee Purchasing and Handling Shipping and Receiving Qualifications Education: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience working as plant manager Required Background: * 8 or more years of experience in plant operations * Proven skills in leadership and supervision * Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles Knowledge Skills & Abilities: * Strong problem-solving skills. * Ef To view the full job description,
