Job Title: Phlebotomist

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team, responsible for blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, decontamination, and updating patient information. The candidate will collect and store specimens following established procedures, explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process clearly and courteously, and ensure full comprehension of physicians' orders. Responsibilities also include matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens as required by test orders, packaging specimens for transport, storing samples according to required temperature, and maintaining specimen integrity during transport. Compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations is mandatory, as well as attendance at annual department trainings. The role also involves answering phone calls and reading laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
