Phlebotomist: Status: Part-time Schedule: Tuesday (8 hours) and M/W/F - 4 hours Location: Queen Anne Healthcare - 2717 Dexter Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109 Perks & Highlights:

Responsibilities:

• The primary purpose of this position is to draw blood, fill out requisition forms, drive the samples to the lab (mileage reimbursement included)
• Calling in orders
• Assisting in pharmacy orders and retrieving medical records.
• Speaking with patient families as directed
• Data entry
• Contacting facilities and physician offices for patient status, needs and coordination of care
• Patient Contact; vitals, weight, blood pressure, checking pulse.
• Locating patients in advance of physician visit
• Medical billing; insurance authorizations, communication with entities
• Conduct blood draws
• Complete requisition forms
• Deliver tests to the lab

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Certified Medical Assistant in this state.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Knowledge of the meaning and usage of common medical abbreviations, symbols and terms relative to the administration of medications.
• Work positively with staff to coordinate care and physician work flow
• Must speak, read, and write English fluently
• Must have an active CPR/BLS certification
