Uber People Tech Change Lead in Seattle, Washington

In People & Places (P&P), we handle all things people-related so our employees around the globe are empowered to do their best work. The People Tech team drives transformation initiatives within the P&P function and encourages new ways of thinking to enable radical simplification of processes, tools and systems with a view to invest in scalable solutions.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Technology Change Lead to join our dynamic People Technology team. This role is pivotal in driving the successful implementation and adoption of HR technology solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in change management and a proven track record of enabling the successful rollout of complex HR technology initiatives.

What You'll Do

Change Management Strategy:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies for HR technology implementations, including HCM & ATS transformations, that enable a smooth transition and visibility for employees.

  • Identify and analyze change impacts and devise effective mitigation plans.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for HR technology initiatives.

  • Facilitate communication and engagement activities to build stakeholder buy-in and adoption.

  • Consult cross-functional teams to ensure successful change management execution.

  • Partner with other business leads to contribute to program changement, such as Comp / Performance / M&A

Training and Development:

  • Design training programs in partnership with various Subject Matter Experts and enable cross-functional teams to ensure employees are proficient in new HR technology systems.

  • Develop and maintain user guides, training materials, and support documentation.

Communication:

  • Create and support the execution of communication plans to keep stakeholders informed about project progress, changes, and benefits.

  • Develop clear and concise messaging to ensure consistent understanding across the organization.

Evaluation and Reporting:

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change management strategies and adjust as necessary.

  • Provide regular reports on change impacts and adoption rates to senior leadership.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for change process improvement and optimization within HR technology implementations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience.

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience in HR tech change management and project management.

  • Proven track record of leading successful change initiatives during HR tech transformations in large organizations.

  • Strong understanding of HR processes and systems, including HRIS, HCM, and other HR technology platforms.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization and articulate messages to a variety of audiences.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Proficiency in change management principles, methodologies and tools and a solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations.

  • Resilience and tenaciousness with a propensity to persevere.

  • Change management certifications.

  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

  • Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to navigate and lead through change in a fast-paced environment.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
