UW Medical Center, Northwest's Behavioral Health Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Peer Counselor Supervisor WORK SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours per week

  • Day Shift JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise Peer Counselors, including recruitment, training, and performance management

  • Coordinate and monitor peer support activities to ensure alignment with recovery principles

  • Oversee program initiatives, such as Drop-In Center activities and community outreach

  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and protocols specific to peer counseling services

  • Maintain records and ensure documentation standards in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

  • Monitor and manage workflows, schedules, and resource allocation for peer support activities

  • Act as a liaison between Peer Counselors, multidisciplinary teams, and external partners

  • Analyze data and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of peer support services REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a medical related or public relations field AND Two years of experience in a behavioral health or peer support role, with at leastone year in a supervisory capacity preferred. OR Equivalent education/experience.

  • Certification as a Peer Counselor (Department of Behavioral Health and Recovery) or Community Health Worker (Department of Health)

  • Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
