The Payload Integration Manager will serve as a core point of contact for our customers, both for human tended payloads and uncrewed payload flights. You will field early customer feasibility requests through successful payload flight. You will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, and execution of customer payload integration into the New Shepard system, acting as the primary customer interface in safety and integration reviews. Our team participates in process improvement initiatives, writes and maintains payload documentation and conducts safety and mission assurance processes. The role manages the payload manifest and performs the supporting analysis for New Shepard (mass, thermal, and power budgets and accessibility). We carry out systems engineering activities in accordance with system engineering standards and practices, tailoring required processes to complete tasks assigned for the payload systems. We provide technical and bid support to payload sales and perform technical, cost and business analyses that shape future New Shepard payload offerings. You will support gated reviews for payload hardware, software, and customer experience. We assist in the development of operations documents and procedures and are major participants in payload launch operations at our launch site in West Texas. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, technical field preferred 3-6 years system development and/or integration experience - preferably with aerospace hardware Customer obsession and experience in a customer-facing role Experience with bid and basis of estimate preparation and proposal management Ability to work cross functionally across multidisciplinary teams and with different priorities, processes, and tools. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Excellent planning, execution, and coordination skills Must be able to support travel 25% of the time Skilled in translating customer needs to technical requirements Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
