  • Opportunity to provide career growth DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Conveniently located near downtown Seattle, the Pioneer Square Clinic provides primary healthcare, and treats acute problems for adult patients.We have an in-office pharmacy to provide full-service pharmacy services to clinic patients. Services include prescription fulfillment and pickup, medicine consulting, over the counter medicine, and immunization.Our mental healthcare professionals provide a range of services including psychiatric consultations, medication management and recommendations for continued psychiatric care. Other available services include podiatry, social services, dietician consultations and health education.The Patient Services Specialist 3 demonstrates service excellence standards regarding communication, attention to detail, reliability in work attendance and time and organization management. This position will independently perform the following support services: patient check-in/check-out; obtain and verify registration and insurance information such as benefits and authorizations; collect payments at time of service; schedules appointments; coordinates care with other services; answers phones and provides initial triage; perform other necessary activities to maintain clinic operations. RESPONSIBLITITES

  • Check-in/check-out of patients and scheduling appointments

  • Monitoring, tracking and obtaining insurance authorizations for patients

  • Processing incoming patient referrals

  • Communicating with insurance payers and updating insurance clearance process and procedures for clinic

  • Rescheduling patients when the provider calls out

  • Triaging and responding to patient messages

  • Creates and updates provider schedules

  • Assists in orienting and training new staff in work area QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Three years of Patient Support Service experience OR
