UW Medical Center-Northwest- Ambulatory Float Pool has an outstanding opportunity for a Patient Services Specialist 2. WORK SCHEDULE

  • Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Our Ambulatory Float Team provides short-term and long-term staffing coverage for planned and unplanned absences throughout Northwest Ambulatory Clinics. The Patient Services Specialist will float to ambulatory clinics for ad hoc and ongoing assignments and will be responsible for performing support services and other necessary activities to maintain clinic operations in various ambulatory settings. The Patient Services Specialist will support a wide variety of practices, including sports medicine, surgical services, and medical specialties. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including phone answering and call triaging

  • Schedule provider and ancillary service appointments

  • Obtain patient demographic, financial, and clinical information

  • Partner with all members of the clinic team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND

  • One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR
