Partner Success Lead, Academic Partnership Team UW Continuum College has an outstanding opportunity for a Partner Success Lead! UW Continuum College (UWC2) seeks an exceptional engagement leader to join the Academic Programs division as a Partner Success Lead (PSL). This director-level position will be responsible for strategically delivering superior client services to campus partners in support of their academic goals. In order to best meet the unique needs of each degree, our PSL will act as change-maker within the UWC2 organization by building informal teams of internal experts. The ideal candidate is the ultimate relationship-builder, consistent collaborator, and formidable problem-solving strategist. The selected candidate will join the academic partnership team, reporting to the Senior Director of Academic Partnerships. The PSL will partner with 20 Schools and Colleges across the UW Seattle and Bothell campuses to support 80 degrees administered through UWC2. The PSL will oversee a portfolio of academic programs housed in one or more of the following Schools and Colleges on the University of Washington campuses:

UW Bothell Campus Responsibilities and Qualifications: We are seeking a dedicated leader to strategically, skillfully and consistently support the goals and intended impact of each credit-based program in a designated portfolio.
Use strategic and creative thinking to recommend courses of action that best meet partner needs within fiscal constraints.
Clearly articulate an understanding of how the landscape of higher education is changing and, more specifically, the complexity of a large public research institution, including the factors that may influence relationship-building and delivery of exceptional customer service.
Demonstrate an understanding of how academic programs can meet the needs of traditional and non-traditional student populations, and articulate these needs to campus partners. We are seeking the ultimate relationship builder; both with external partners as well as the ability to build highly collaborative, and highly productive, teams internally.
PSLs have demonstrated experience with the process of building and maintaining client-centered relationships and can clearly articulate this process to others.
PSLs listen to the partner, identify their unique needs and take initiative to propose and implement satisfactory and sustainable solutions.
PSLs navigate the inevitable tensions that arise in a fee for service product model and demonstrate a willingness to discuss new, unexpected challenges as they arise.
PSLs are able to balance the goals and needs of their programs with the goals and interests of Continuum College.
PSLs prioritize internal relationships by consistently inviting colleagues to be part of a collaborative team, where each member’ expertise is utilized to create the most efficient and effective team. We are seeking a collaborative leader with demonstrated experience leveraging organization-wide expertise to meet partner needs and applying a team approach to project management.
UWC2 supports a variety of program models including: onsite, online, hybrid, and those designed for professional audiences. In order to fully support our campus partners, we have service and support structures in place that include Operations, Marketing, Online Learning, Finance, IT, Registration, and more.
To build and maintain successful academic programs, the PSLs coordinate cross-divisional teams of UWC2 staff and know which colleagues to include at different phases of a program’s lifecycle, based on the nature of the partner’s needs. Examples of matrixed team members include: a budget liaison, marketing liaison/manager, market research, instructional designer, etc.
PSLs are expected to coordinate and maximize the expertise of each functional team member, not be the formal leader in each of these areas. Instead, the PSL should be focused on long-term, positive relationship development and on project management.
PSLs will utilize their budgetary experience to evaluate program budgets, identify clarifying questions for program directors and know when to ask for advice from our internal financial experts.
PSLs will utilize their experience and judgement to escalate emergent possibilities, and any hint of problems, to the appropriate level in UWC2. We are seeking a leader with outstanding communication skills for both internal and external audiences..
PSLs will be exemplars of the most positive leaders in UWC2. They will hold a deep belief in the mission (why), the processes and business models (how), and the programmatic support options (what) UWC2 can provide.
PSLs communicate, to internal and external audiences, the unique components and goals of each program, both technically and conceptually, as well as how each program fits into larger College/School-level priorities.
PSLs will consistently communicate with campus partners in a professional, clear and timely manner.
PSLs will clearly articulate policy details and financial options to assist program leaders in making informed decisions about their programs.
Within an internal team, PSLs will collaboratively communicate challenges, opportunities or questions and facilitate a team discussion. We are seeking a learning-oriented leader who demonstrates a commitment to constantly expanding their knowledge and improving their professional practice.
The landscape of higher education is undergoing rapid change and leaders must continually reassess, refine and re-align projects to organizational and institutional priorities and opportunities.
PSLs will have, or develop, a deep knowledge of all of UWC2 capabilities, including fee-based degrees, online degree programs, summer quarter, conference management, and non-credit possibilities and options.
PSLs are expected to grow, develop and maintain working knowledge of UW policies and relevant Washington State policies and laws. PSLs will be able to positively articulate all UWC2 business models, including new and emergent models, summer quarter models, conference fees, etc.; provide comparisons to other UW budget models (e.g., Activity Based Budgeting); and become conversant in such models/services at other universities We are seeking a leader who exemplifies the core values of Continuum College:

Trust and openness Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, business, or relevant field, and 5+ years of applicable work experience to include:
Formal leadership in higher education or in a related private industry position such as account/client/customer management positions

Excellent communication and relationship development skills
