Benaroya Research Institute Part-Time Nurse Practitioner in Seattle, Washington
The Diabetes Clinical Research Program is focused on identifying the causes and cures of type 1 (autoimmune) diabetes, through interactive, collaborative programs in basic and clinical research.
The Nurse Practitioner position is under the direction of the Clinical Research Center (CRC)/Diabetes Clinical Research Program Director, and will be responsible as a qualified care giver for research participants.
This is a part-time position, working on Monday – Friday, during the core hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The schedule is negotiable and includes occasional weekends.
Starting IV’s
Performing blood draws
Checking vital signs
Regulatory document filing
Monitor for adverse events
Completion of case report forms
Maintenance of source documents
Any other required nursing support to the research staff
Requires a current WA State license, and the ability to see patients in a medical capacity
May be licensed as an NP, ARNP, or PA-C
Experience with type 1 diabetes helpful, but not required
Must have an interest in working with children and adolescents
Requires successful completion of NP/ARNP/PA educational program
