Job Summary

The Parking Ambassador position is responsible for monitoring parking facilities, issuing citations at private designated locations along an assigned route. The patroller position reports to the Area Manager.

This position represents the Building and Platinum Parking as an ambassador to the visitors, employees, and customers of the downtown Bellevue area by patrolling the parking structure, greeting parkers, assisting customers with use of the automated pay stations, providing a safe and welcoming environment for parkers, and performing minor maintenance and repair work and easy to do admin reports.

Job Duties

Patrols parking facilities on foot.

  • Assists motorists who park in the parking structure with payment using the automated pay and exit stations.

  • Does a daily admin report on the revenue received by the automated parking equipment.

  • Observes and reports prohibited activities such as graffiti, vandalism, skateboarding, and suspicious behavior.

  • Performs basic maintenance on parking structures and parking control equipment such as replacing dislodged gate arms, clearing tickets jams, replacing receipt rolls, and replacing ticket boxes.

  • Performs basic maintenance on parking control equipment such as clearing ticket jams, replacing receipt rolls, placing out of order signs, and trouble shooting.

  • Maintains assigned areas, facilities, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Provides positive and effective customer service.

  • Inspects parking structure and parking control equipment daily for damages or other problems.

  • Collects litter and empties trash receptacles in and around the structures.

  • Promotes public relations by providing information and assistance to the public.

  • Performs related duties similar to the above in scope and function as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have weekends availability.

  • Have a valid Driver’s License and insurance.

  • Must have dependable transportation.

  • Have an acceptable driving record.

  • Be 18 years of age or older.

  • Ability to stand up as well as walking for long periods of time on foot.

  • Computer and technology knowledge.

  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be courteous and friendly with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, management, and clients.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Previous parking experience preferred, but not required.

  • Drug free workplace.

  • Clerical experience a plus and may lead to additional hours doing data entry/office work
