Seattle Children’s Hospital Parent Partner - Disruptive Behavior Intensive Program in Seattle, Washington

Responsibilities: A Parent Partner empowers families caring for children with behavioral, mental health, substance use, medical and other challenges by providing individualized, strength-based support, education, coaching, information, and resource referrals in collaboration with patients, families and clinical care team members. Job Posting Addendum: This is a remote position within the state of Washington only. We are seeking a per diem Parent Partner to join our Disruptive Behavior Intensive Programs clinical team. These programs offer high intensity services via telehealth to parents/caregivers of school age children with challenging behaviors. The program offers team members a high level of training and support, with an emphasis on providing care in a team-based approach. The program includes a high level of care coordination and support to enrolled families who are experiencing significant distress. Preferred candidates will have lived experience parenting a child with disruptive behavior including having participated in parent training programs. Additional preferred experience includes facilitation and mentorship in a social service setting. Requirements: Required Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent experience. Lived experience parenting a child or youth with emotional, behavioral, substance use, and/or mental health challenges and experience with children's mental health system. Demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds. Interest in continuing to learn and explore how health equity, diversity, and inclusion impacts the work at Seattle Children's. Completion of Washington State online peer training and submission of an application as a certified peer counselor within 60 days of employment. Completion of Washington State Youth and Family training within 6 months of employment. Preferred: At least 1 year experience of paid or volunteer experience as a peer partner or working with youth and families in a mental health or social service setting. Min to Max Hourly Salary: $25.09 - $37.64 /hr Min to Max Annual Salary: $52,187.20 - $78,291.20 /yr Salary Information: This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
