Overview

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is a leading health system in Washington State, with its flagship institution in Seattle, Washington. We are looking for a BE/BC Orthopedic Sports Medicine Surgeon to join our Seattle location, which is in the heart of Seattle’s downtown. The group is heavily involved in the care of patients throughout the region as well as professional sports teams, with direct coverage provided to the National Hockey League Seattle Kraken as well as professional rugby through the Seattle SeaWolves major league rugby team.

Responsibilities

Our practice is supported by a team of physician assistants, as well as dedicated clinical staff and multiple OR sites. Candidates would be expected to have familiarity with knee and shoulder arthroscopy including ligament reconstruction, stabilization, and meniscus and tendon repair. Opportunity exists for shoulder arthroplasty and hip arthroscopy as well, though these are not requirements of the role

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS)

  • 2+ years experience after training preferred

  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA

  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice

  • ACLS required

Pay Range

$240.38 - $276.44 /hour
