Amazon Organizational Communications and Employee Enablement Manager in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com and a leader in cloud computing, is seeking a skilled and experienced Organizational Communications and Employee Enablement Manager to join our dynamic AWS Marketing team. The successful candidate will lead our organizational communications related to employee enablement efforts. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving strong change management initiatives, strengthening the adoption of our organizational culture, and supporting our shared strategic vision and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Change Management:

o Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies to facilitate seamless transitions during organizational transformations, process improvements, or technology implementations.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of change initiatives and design effective communication and training plans.

o Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure transparent communication throughout the change process.

  1. Organizational Culture and Employee Engagement:

o Conceptualize, develop and foster a strong organizational culture aligned with the company's leadership principles.

o Develop and execute engaging communication campaigns and initiatives to reinforce the desired culture and behaviors.

o Develop and facilitate employee engagement programs, recognizing and celebrating achievements, and promoting a positive work environment.

o Serve as a role model and ambassador for the organizational culture, inspiring and motivating employees at all levels.

o Facilitate two-way communication channels, encouraging employee feedback and input to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment.

o Identify and address communication gaps or barriers, ensuring effective information flow and understanding throughout the organization.

  1. Employee Enablement and Training:

o Design and deliver engaging training programs to equip employees with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to support organizational initiatives and processes.

o Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop relevant and impactful training content.

o Leverage various learning modalities (e.g., in-person, virtual, self-paced) to cater to diverse learning styles and preferences.

o Measure the effectiveness of training programs and continuously improve based on feedback and learner outcomes.

  1. Measurement and Reporting:

o Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of communication and employee enablement initiatives.

o Analyze data and provide regular reports to leadership, highlighting achievements, areas for improvement, and recommendations.

o Continuously evaluate and refine strategies and tactics based on data-driven insights and industry best practices.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in organizational communications, change management, employee engagement, or related roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

  • Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and experience in developing and delivering training programs.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
