A day in the life
As an Operations Program Manager in the Digital Transformation Team, your day is a blend of collaboration, analysis, and process improvement. You begin by joining a daily stand-up with your cross-functional team, including UX Designers, Creative Specialists, and Design Technologists, to align on project updates and priorities. Your primary focus is on optimizing internal processes that enhance the enablement experience across AWS. Today, you meet with Program Managers from the Enablement Innovation Center (EIC) and stakeholders from the broader SMGS team to map out and review the requirements for our org's Roadmap. Using SmartSheets, you document the workflow, identify pain points, and collect feedback, aiming to streamline the experience. You then work on developing solutions that reduce manual tasks and increase efficiency, ensuring they align with best practices and organizational goals. In the afternoon, you update performance metrics to track the effectiveness of recent process improvements and prepare a report for leadership. Throughout the day, you collaborate with team members, propose refinements, and support the rollout of new initiatives, all while maintaining a proactive approach to continuous learning and development within your role.
About the team
The Digital Transformation Team originates from within the Enablement Innovation Center as a specialization team focused on innovating the process of building enablement, rather than focusing on the end-product enablement itself.
