The Oncology Sales Consultant II
The Oncology Sales Consultant II is responsible for implementing the BIPI Oncology sales and marketing plans to assure maximum distribution and market penetration of BIPI Oncology products within BIPI guidelines, policies, and directives. The Oncology Sales Consultant will conduct their business with key Oncology Customers and appropriate targeted Oncologist and related oncology health care specialists. The incumbent is proactive in their approach and response to situational business needs and requirements. The incumbent will have additional responsibilities for sales activities and strategic account planning and execution in teaching and community hospitals, federal and military hospitals, integrated delivery networks, community-based practices, managed care networks and other organized customers defined by the business need within the region. The OSC will manage a geography that may require overnight travel and occasional night and weekend Oncology meeting responsibilities. Senior Oncology Sales Consultant
Senior Oncology Sales Consultant is responsible for implementing the BIPI Oncology sales and marketing plans to assure maximum distribution and market penetration of BIPI Oncology products within BIPI guidelines, policies, and directives. The incumbent is proactive in their approach and response to situational business needs and requirements. Senior Oncology Sales Consultant will conduct their business with key Oncology Clinics and appropriate targeted Oncologist and related oncology health care specialists. The incumbent will have additional responsibilities for sales activities and strategic account planning and execution in teaching and community hospitals, federal and military hospitals, integrated delivery networks, community-based practices, managed care networks and other organized customers defined by the business need within the region. As a Senior Oncology Sales Consultant, the incumbent will be recognized and respected as a regional team leader with additional responsibilities and strategic projects, such as regional point for business planning, support in the development of peers (i.e., Mentor projects), special assignments around training (i.e., reimbursement marketplace, managed care strategies, customer development, selling skills, territory analysis and management, regional point for regional analysis etc.), GPO support and pull through, Key Opinion Leader identification and development, and national level projects (i.e. leading national oncology conventions, training at national meetings, participating in brand strategic and tactical planning, active contributor to national sales advisory boards, etc.).
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains and utilizes exceptional Oncology product knowledge and highly effective selling skills to influence targeted Oncology health care professionals to support the use of BIPI promoted products.
Understands and respects the Oncology business and environment to ensure customers see the value in the role as a consultative partner.
Executes brand strategies and business plans to ensure a consistent company sales and marketing message.
Develops strategic plans to meet the individual oncology health care professionals' (HCP)needs as well as the accounts needs.
Builds valued discussion around Oncology HCP needs and opportunities.
Fosters Oncology HCP network development and communication.
Provides accurate and timely follow-up discussions with Oncology HCP.
Fosters ongoing trust with Oncology HCP as relationship develops.
Excels at using appropriate BIPI Sales Training techniques which supports and encourages technical exchange of scientific knowledge and dialogue thereby providing enhanced value to the HCP through facilitation of individual patient management and therapy decision making process..
Identifies and supports regional business needs through active involvement of Associate Director, Marketing team, Nurse Educator, Access and Distribution Managers, Key Account Managers, and other BI s.
Consistently monitors and updates local strategic plans to optimize key opportunities within the defined account.
Manages territory budget that supports the development of Regional and Territory Oncology thought leaders, innovators, and advocates to support BIPI Oncology products.
Provides expert analysis of territory information to optimize Oncology HCP calls.
Utilizes VEEVA and other BI supporting analysis processes to plan activity, monitors literature use, and maintain account and Oncology HCP records.
Completes all administrative responsibilities in a timely fashion as directed by management.
Effectively translates product knowledge into the sales presentation and is customer focused with a priority directed towards providing solutions-based customer interactions.
Delivers exemplary level of clinical and technical value to customers, assisting the health care customer in meeting their unique patient care needs, all within BI regulatory guidelines.
Provides expert understanding of the Oncology Payer landscape.
As a trusted Oncology consultant, encourages and receives requests from customers for expert technical information outside of standard visits.
Develops trust and subsequent value with Oncology customers.
Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g., EEO, FDA, DEA, OSHA, POMA, EPA, PhRMA, etc.) and Company policy and procedures.
Reports to management immediately when violations are noted/observed.
Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts to maintain BIPI's excellent reputation within the medical and pharmaceutical community.
Interfaces/collaborates with a broad and diverse BI group and functions including but not limited to: Peer Oncology Account Consultants, Key Account Managers, Payer Relations/Access & Reimbursement, Patient Advocacy, Field Based Medicine, Marketing team and National Account/Strategic Account Managers.
Requirements - Oncology Sales Consultant II
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
5 or more years of successful US pharmaceutical sales experience (primary care, specialty care, institutional) or other relevant healthcare experience including at least 1 year of Oncology sales experience or 3 years of working with organized customers and selling across the care network required.
Strategic Account Management skills with history of engaging with and driving engagement with complex customer types.
Efficient in engaging customers across multiple virtual platforms provided by company.
Strong communications skills.
Ability to translate key scientific information supporting product, competitors, science, and marketplace to a broad range of Oncology customers.
Ability to travel (25%) with overnights and attendance at some weekend programs.
Self-directed work environment with day-to-day operations and decisions.
Ability to communicate effectively and consistently a dialogue rich in Oncology science, knowledge, and marketplace with broad range of Oncology customers.
Must remain current with all evolving changes in the Oncology marketplace while maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the Oncology science and competitive therapies and clinical pathways.
Masters and applies clinical Oncology reprint content for effective knowledge, dialogue, and application with Oncology customers.
Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Compensation Data
This position offers a base salary typically between $121,000 and $204,000. The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus and or other compensation elements.
